September/October Beauty Empties
It’s been a while since an empties post!
I feel like I’ve got through quite a few products lately. Which is good as I try and slim down my beauty stash and make a bit more room in the bathroom. As I had a bit of downtime last month I’ve put two months worth of empties together. I may continue to do two months at a time in the future as I much prefer it.
L’Occitane Verbena Shower Gel Refill
This is the first time I’ve used the refills from L’Occitane and it’s a great idea. 250ml of the gel on it’s own is £15. The 500ml refill though is £21.75 so you get a lot more for your money using the refills. Particularly if you go to a L’Occitane outlet shop you can usually get the two bundled together for even better value. Verbena is probably my favourite fragrance of all time. It’s a nice, heavy citrus scent and I have been known to be top to toe with this fragrance before. I can rave all day about L’Occitane products, they’re such a fabulous quality and have a long lasting smell. The next time I want to splurge on a higher end shower gel, I’ll definitely be buying more!
Estee Lauder Day Wear Moisturiser
This was only a mini I was using but it’s worth a mention as I love it. Everything Lauder skincare wise that I’ve tried I’ve loved. Anything anti ageing has also had visible results. Day Wear is £42 for 50ml which actually compared to others is pretty reasonable. When I’ve finished up my current daytime skincare products, I’ll definitely be repurchasing.
This is a really nice concealer and I was pretty happy with it. Until the Kat Von D concealer I bought a while ago. Click here to check out my review of that!
NYX Doll Eye Mascara
I reviewed this on the blog here already. By the time I finished this mascara my opinion hadn’t changed too much. It’s an okay mascara but I’m failing to see why NYX gets so much hype. Everything I’ve tried so far hasn’t overly impressed me.
Bioderma Micellar Cleansing Water
After hearing loads about this I gave it a try and wasn’t disappointed. It’s gentle on my skin, get rids of all my make up quickly, and leaves my skin feeling fresh afterwards. This is the cleansing water that has left my skin feeling to closest to having a ‘normal’ wash ever. It’s quite reasonably priced at around £10.20 and this bottle lasted me absolutely ages. This is definitely on the repurchase list.
Sanctuary Spa Body Lotion
I’m normally a lover of Sanctuary products but this is a bit too runny for me as a moisturiser. It does leave my skin feeling soft and hydrated but the wateryness puts me off a repurchase. The scent isn’t for everyone with Sanctuary products, but thankfully I really like it. It makes me think I’m actually at a spa.
Eyeko Sport Waterproof Mascara
I was really disappointed with this mascara. Which at £18 makes it the biggest waste of money since the Cargo Concealer from earlier this year. If you want to read what made it such a waste of money (to me) check out the full review here.
The Liz Earle Moisturising mask and Stila Foundation are regulars in the empties posts! That should give you a good indication of how much I love these (and how much they’re repurchased). These are two staples of my beauty routine. Find the full reviews here and here.
