Cardmaking

More ‘sunburst’ style cards

You saw a few weeks ago my kind of ‘sunburst’ thank you card and I had lots of bits of the paper left over so I decided to put together a couple more, finishing them both slightly differently.

With the next card I made I cut the cream cardstock to mount the pieces onto a little smaller so I wouldn’t have to put the ribbon across the middle and decided to go with a stamped sentiment onto some more cream card to see how it looked.IMG_2185The issue I had was the scalloped circle in the middle was just that bit too small, so I had few options in terms of stamps to use and I just don’t think this font goes as well as it could. So with a bigger middle bit I tried again.

IMG_2181This font matches a whole lot more. I decided to do some more ribbon too, as I liked that about the first card.

I do like this style of card a lot, and will probably do more soon. I might need a break first though – putting the right pieces together is like a rather annoying jigsaw puzzle.

What do you think?

P.S. These cards are now in the shop!
