Cardmaking, Planning

Expanding the Etsy Shop…

I think it’s fair to say I’m addicted to stationery.

Once I got into planning properly I went mad buying things to make my new planner pretty. The one thing I found was that there’s very little choice in the UK in comparison to other countries. I was infinitely jealous of seeing people’s hauls from Michaels, Target and Kikki K. If I wanted anymore choice I needed to order online but I found either the items or postage were extremely expensive or I had to order from China and wait three weeks for the arrival of the goods.

While I was doing some work on improving my Etsy shop I decided to look into bulk ordering stationery supplies to then resell in my shop primarily for my follow Brits to buy and receive quickly.

I love these cute stick memos and how they have an extra flap at the back so you can store them in your planner pockets.

My experience of wholesale purchase of stationery hasn’t been without pain with damaged items and incorrect items received being the two main issues. However, a few weeks later I finally have a a small inventory in the shop!

It’s in the card shop for now and I guess I’ll see how it goes before I decide whether to open a whole extra shop for the stationery goodies. As this is a hobby for me, I don’t want a whole other shop eating up all my time unless I’m going to make a living out of it.

The only downside to all this bulk purchasing for the shop has been the temptation to keep some of it for myself! I have to say, when one of the cardboard sleeves for the stick memos above arrived damaged I did use it as an excuse to keep it and not add it to the amount on sale!

I’m loving thin washi at the moment and not keeping this was hard!

At the minute though I’ve been really good and am only keep damaged items. We’ll see how long it lasts!

I’d love it if you could please check out of the shop for all this and more. Extra items will be added all the time. If there’s something you don’t see in there, comment or message and I’ll do my best to get it added!

Where do you find cute cheap stationery for your planner?
