Cardmaking

More Christmas Craft Shopping…

I’m fairly certain at the moment I spend more time shopping for crafty supplies than I do actually crafting. Oops.

In my final (I promise) crafty shopping trip before Christmas I wanted to check out a cute independent craft shop in Leighton Buzzard that I’m sure I’ve mentioned before, called Loobi Crafts. It’s such a lovely little shop, with so much stock packed in you could easily spend an hour just looking at everything. I was quite good and just picked up a few bits and pieces…

You can’t really tell from the pic but the red lines on the paper are glitter and I’ve no idea what I’m going to use it for but it’s very pretty paper. The card pack to the left was only £1 and comes with a card blank and three die cut sheets. It’s the same range as the one I’ve been using for my Christmas cards so it was a no-brainer to buy really. The decorative berries again were only a £1 and I’m sure I’ll find a use for them. My favourite buys though were the ‘tiny text’ packs.

On the way home I decided to pop into Hobbycraft to see what Christmas craft items they had. As much as don’t like shopping in there I will check the place out from time to time as usually they have some decent clearance items.

All this was only £5! Their Christmas crafting was on 3 for 2 but somehow when it all went through the till the balloon stamp and snowflake seals both went through the till free. The little deer embellishments are quite fragile (there’s one broken in the pack already) but they’ll go perfect with the the Nordic theme I’m going for this Christmas with my cards. The sentiments were only a £1 and will be ideal for when I’m stuck with how to finish a card. I’m going to try and use the clear stamp inside the cards if the quality of the stamp is good enough.

I also picked up a nice £2 bargain…

I said when I made my Roald Dahl card I needed more embellishments so hopefully the next card I make with the set will turn out pretty cool.

And that’s it! No more until all the Christmas presents are bought!

Have you done any crafty hauling lately?

Em x
