Cardmaking

Father’s Day Cards

As it was Father’s Day at the weekend I thought I’d share the cards I made.

Thanks to a busy end of May/June I didn’t really have time to make lots of Father’s Day cards for the shop so I just made one for my dad and one for my mum to give to my grandad.

I wanted to play with some new stash and so most of the items on this card came from the Basic Grey Hey Boy collection (paper pad, die cuts and sticker letters). The stars are Freckled Fawn and don’t show up as much as I’d like if I’m honest. I wish I’d gone for some My Mind’s Eye wood dots instead just to finish this off.

I like the corners used in this from the die cut pack but I almost think it’s missing something? I’m not sure. This is another simple card style I like and could definitely be adapted for other occasion cards. I’m a big fan of this Hey Boy range too – the colours and patterns are great to work with. I’ve got Hey You and Hey Girl still to play with so expect some cards with those soon!

What do you think?
