First Christmas cards of the year
I normally start far too late with my Christmas cards but thanks to a little inspiration (i.e. shopping) I made what I consider an early start.
I shared my little Christmas crafting purchase of some new My Mind’s Eye goodies recently and couldn’t wait to make some cute simple cards with the papers. I love a good present card and wanted to make a card similar to a birthday card I made last year…
I love making vellum bows with my Silhouette and this vellum is from the My Mind’s Eye Necessities collection. The stamp is from my stash and I used Staz On ink. I’m definitely increasing my confidence with stamping and only messed up one card blank by mis-stamping out of the few I made in this design.
The bow was another stamp I had in my stash and looks lovely with these wood chips. Just a shame I only had one number ’25’.
This is based on an idea I found on Pinterest. I love these little trees but they are a bit of a faff to put together. I made the stars using a punch I had hidden away (does anyone else buy punches and then not really use them until you randomly find them?)
To make my last card of this session I dug out some beautiful paper that I picked up a few months ago.
This another stamp I had in my stash and props to Ed for giving me the idea of putting some vellum behind the tree, it creates a lovely effect.
These are all listed in the shop now with more coming soon as I am firmly in the Christmas spirit now. When do you think the earliest you can get away with Christmas decorations is? 1st November??
