60th Birthday Card Idea

I miss card making!

Here’s the last card I made from my recent batch of commissions, a 60th birthday card.I love the bright pink* in this card. Mixed with some My Mind’s Eye papers this is a really bright, fun card. I deliberately didn’t want a card that would look ‘old’ or traditional.

As usual, I wanted some 3d elements to make sure the card didn’t look flat. I used my trusty 3d pads* to create it.

I used a product called Vivi Glade film to create the beautiful shimmery bow.

I found the ‘happy birthday’ balloon in the Silhouette store and I think it just finishes off the card nicely.

If I were to create this card again I’d probably make the bow a little smaller. That way it might look more like a present?

It’s such a shame that my usual card making supply shop closed down as they had a massive range of My Minds Eye products. Now they’ve closed the brand seems quite tricky to get hold of here in the UK. I’m slowly using up my stash (it’s quite large) of My Minds Eye paper packs and I’m worried I don’t have a backup brand to purchase when it’s all used up.

I might try making this style of card again, but instead of putting the ’60’ in the middle, I’ll pop a ‘happy birthday’ sentiment in there instead.
