Look Fantastic June Beauty Box Review
It’s very rare that I purchase beauty boxes now.

I used to have regular subscriptions years ago – Look Fantastic, Birchbox and My Little Box were the main ones. Once I realised I had way too many products, I cancelled them all. Now I only purchase them once every so often. The last one I purchased was the Cosmetips box, so I could finally try a Natasha Denona palette. This time I purchased June’s Look Fantastic box* because for the first time I’d seen a box where I knew I’d use every single item in the box.
For a start, how amazing is the bag? I don’t normally like ‘free’ cosmetics bags, but loved this. I knew it would be perfect for future travels. I also loved the blue theme of this box. It’s a perfect summery colour.
As I purchased this as a one off box, it was £15 with free shipping. If I’d have signed up to the yearly subscription, it would have dropped to £13 a box. Even at £15, this is a massive bargain for everything you get in it.
Sheet Masks
Only one sheet mask was advertised, so to receive both was a nice a surprise. I don’t use sheet masks regularly any more, just because of the environmental impact of them. It’s nice to have them every so often as a treat, as I do believe they work.
The first one was from Oh K! I’ve tried a couple of things from this brand before and not been that impressed. I believe it isn’t actually Korean, just uses ‘Korean ingredients’. This mask is £6* to purchase on its own and it’s not your usual sheet mask, it’s actually a hydrogel mask. I’ve tried a couple of this style before and I’m not sure whether I like them? This mask claims to aid hydration which I definitely need right now, as I’ve just started using tret. The second mask is a traditional sheet mask and from a Korean brand I’ve used before. This is also £5.99 full price and is all about plumping and anti-aging.
Hair brush
Glov is a brand I’d never heard of before, but this brush looks similar to a Tangle Teezer.
This is a nice size and ideal for travel where you don’t want to take a huge brush. I’ve yet to test if it fares as well as a Tangle Teezer with my knotty hair. I couldn’t find this available in the UK, but was able to find it for €7.50 on their site.
SPF
In keeping with the holiday theme, there were two SPF products in here.
The first is a Factor 50 from Polaar that I’ll be using everywhere but my face (because I already have a face SPF I’m happy with). I’m sure I’ve tried this brand before and liked it. This is £22 for 50ml, meaning the 20ml size is worth about £8.80. This is pretty expensive as SPF goes, but for something used on the face, this is in line with what I already use. Next is some lip protection, which I’ve been needing for a while. It’s so easy to forget lip SPF when you’re out in the sun, and I could tell my lips were affected by my daily walks. This is worth £6* and will see me right through Summer. I’ve used this a few times already and it keeps my lips soft and protected.
Hair care
Anyone else’s hair feeling rough during lockdown?
The full size of this is £15 for 140ml so this sample is worth just over £3. I’m looking forward to trying this in the shower this week!
Bodycare
You can’t go wrong with a lovely Molten Brown shower gel. I’ve used this brand for years and there isn’t anything I’ve tried that I haven’t liked.
The colour is really nice and in keeping with the theme. The scent is lovely and fresh and the full size of this is £22, so this 100ml is worth just over £7.
This box was such amazing value.
Based on my calculations this was worth £38. So much more than the £15 price for the box. I always say though, a subscription box is only truly worth it if you’ll use it enough to match the value. As I’ll use everything in here, this was a fantastic purchase. That even excludes how much the bag is likely worth.
Like I mentioned at the start, this is a perfect travel bag for my skincare. I just need to be allowed to travel somewhere with it!
I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out on future Beauty Boxes from Look Fantastic*. If they’re all as good as this in the future, I’ll be purchasing more.
